Your creative space plays such a huge role in your success, in fact – in anything that you do.

After 4 months of traveling, I got back home yesterday. It was such a bliss to get back to my creative space. It felt like my creative soul was dancing when I saw my art supplies and brushes. One of the most important elements of success is to create a creative space that nourishes your heart and soul. You can infuse it with your magical personality, put a diffuser and indulge the essential oils’ aroma.

It’s so important for us illustrators to have our own space where magic happens. It doesn’t have to be big, it has to be infused with your vibe.

1) De-clutter, remove all items that no longer serve/inspire you.

2) Clean up energy. I really like using essential oils like (frankincense and myrrh) in a diffuser. All stagnant energy goes away and my studio becomes so fresh. You can also use sage.

3) Decorate your space with what makes your soul sing. Treat it as your creative sanctuary, a place where inspiration flows. How do you want to feel when you enter that space? Do you want to feel calm, inspired, passionate, confident? Set the intention to be surrounded by that energy when you decorate your space. Put inspiring messages around you, make it fun.
